NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED
Obliterati.net is an official Mission of Burma Internet location that will be shaped by community input via a Wiki editing tool. The site includes a streaming music player with new streams promised EVERY THREE DAYS!!!

FOR THE RANDY
Holly Anderson, artist and lyricist who gave us the cover art and insert for Signals, Calls and Marches, as well as lyrics for Mica and songs throughout Consonant's self-titled release and the subsequent Love and Affliction, brings more art and song to the world on her latest project, New Randy, a collaboration with Lisa B. Burns. Consonant's Chris Brokaw appears on one of the tracks as well. Maybe it's just me but the F word keeps coming to mind...along with the obvious, I'm somewhere off in the fields/feeling/female/feminine/feminist/force-to-be-reckoned with that is New Randy, forgetting about the all the bugs in the dirt and how itchy crabgrass is. Pure pleasure.

BURMA INTERVIEW AND VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM LIVE EYE TV

INTERVIEW WITH JON STRYMISH
An interview with Jon Strymish, the photographer who brought us many of the best black and white photos of Mission of Burma since the band's reunion, is the latest addition to the site. "My great memory is my first Burma show. It was the first time I ever got drunk. I fell asleep stretched out under the bar during the Proletariat's opening set and awoke just as Burma was starting to play. It's a moment I'll never forget." (Yes, Jon, that is the quote we picked for the blurb and we are glad you remembered it). Read the entire interview here.

MESSAGE BOARD MADNESS
You may have noticed that Mission of Burma have a community on myspace.com but their message board recently disappeared. Well, it looks like a new message board has been started. If you are a myspace.com member, please add the group mission of burma to your list of groups and add Mission of Burma to your friends list. The Mission of Burma community is located at http://myspace.com/missionofburma.

The Livejournal Mission of Burma Burmafan message board is still functioning too. You do not have to be a member of Livejournal to post to it: http://www.livejournal.com/community/burmafan.

Volcano Suns - who got together recently and played two shows! - also have a blog on myspace.com, so don't forget to put them on your friends list.
