Mission of Burma add free NYC show!
Mission of Burma announces new show as part of the “Free Summer Sunday” Beach Party Music Series in NYC on August 7th. Presented in association with the Seaport Music Festival on Pier 17 and the RiverRocks Series on Pier 54, this six-week concert series, booked for July 10th through August 14th, will include musical acts such as The Ravonettes, Swirlies, and more. Mission of Burma will take the stage at 3pm at the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club along the East River in lower Manhattan. The concert is free and will take place on Beekman’s 200-ton sandy beach overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. The show is limited to 1,100 people so get there early when doors open at 11:30 am. 21 and older only.
Mission of Burma to play Dallas, TX in July
Mission of Burma will extend their visit to Texas next month by adding a show at Dallas’ Granada Theater on July 24th. This will follow their show at The Mohawk in Austin on the 22nd. Local Dallas band Tre Orsi will support at The Granada.

The Roger Miller-scored documentary, “Granito: How to Nail a Dictator” screens this Saturday, 4/30 at the Boston Ind. Film Fest

The film Roger scored this past December, “Granito: How to Nail a Dictator”, will premiere in the Boston area as part of the Independent Film Festival Boston.
When the film premiered at Sundance this year, the directors received a standing ovation when they went up for the Q+A. “Granito” is a documentary on the genocide in Guatemala, referencing the director’s first film: “When Mountains Tremble” from the mid-’80′s.
