Roger Miller’s second “solo” rock 45 rpm (w/download card) is now available on GOOD ROAD RECORDS at the link below. It will be in stores (such as those that exist!) by mid-Sept. Miller will also be selling these 45s at shows.
Side A, BIG STEAM, utilizes a dream for the lyrics. It is a blues, with a fork (eating utensil) woven between the strings of the guitar to give it a “Miller Sound.” And a pair of French Horns.
Side B, DREAM INTERPRETATION, continues his utilization of a form he developed from dream structure. This is the first time he has applied this technique to rock music.
Both sides feature drummer Larry Dersch (Binary System) with Miller on guitar and other instruments. The sound of the record intentionally references the first Pink Floyd LP, PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN.
